IE Developer Toolbar

Microsoft has got something similar to Firebug (for Firefox) in its bag. Its a toolbar which you can install very fast.

It has some interesting tools to modify the DOM right in the browser, view the styles, Outline the DIV, Tables etc and a very useful Ruler tool.

You can download it here.

Some good documents on Sharepoint Application Development

You can find some great resources on learning Sharepoint Technologies from the expert Ted Pattison from his own website.

Among others you will find some interesting screencasts and a great PDF which is actually a book partly written by him.

Up Beat!!

I came across this game on miniclip.com while i was taking a break from work. It is really cool and addictive.

You are playing a keyboard, and your goal is to sync with the music track by tapping along the different keys in rhythm.

Blast the music on full volume and enjoy....

Check it out below!

Facebook.....Pretty Damn good

I started using Facebook quite recently. Until before that i was using another social networking platform, "orkut" which was quite popular in my university.

I had heard a lot of about Facebook from many tech blogs like techcrunch and how popular it is among youth and professional people alike.

Right from the time i started using Facebook, i liked it. Some features i really like are
  • the "news feed" which gives me a quick update on what my friends are doing and get in touch with them.
  • upload as many photos as you want and tag people within it.
  • and the most lovely feature, add 'applications" from many available. Applications are miny widgets which you can add customize, delete. It can be anything like maintaining a list of you favorite youtube videos, having a mini music player in your profile to play online music etc. The best part is you can develop these applications and add it to the Facebook Application pool. You can use Facebook API to develop these applications.
Presently i am learning how to develop these applications with ASP.net and C#. I will write more once i start creating a mini application.

I would highly encourage everyone to give facebook a try.

Pilot

Readers! I have finally decided to have a blog dedicated to post all the lovely things that i come across or discover related to Web Technologies, Web App development, Design tools, or some neat piece of code etc...and of course my ideas and thoughts related to the same.

Being a web explorer as most of us on th internet....i like to spend time reading about new web development, design stuff. try them out, and improvise and share with other peers. That is why, this blog. To have archive where i or any of you could stumble upon to dig something useful.

Since i really work a lots on Sharepoint...and Microsoft related technologies, i may tend to write more of future blogs related to that. But i still love the prime and effective way of web development/design using just (D)(X)HTML, CSS, javascript. Even with all the web/Client technologies popping up, everything has to revolve around the manipulation of the prime elements of web development.

I hope to make a good collection of posts..... :)....
